South Korea pick up a well deserved three points with a comfortable win over out an out sorts Greek side that never really got going this afternoon.
Before we start on reading this cheap review, let's play a stupid game. Tongue twister ala-ala World Cup. I would like you guys to pronounce the names of these players in less than 10 seconds.
"Kacang la KeCiK.."
"Ko jangan cakap besar lah!"
"Kamonnn !!!"
"Sici...loro...telu... GO !!!"
Alexandros Tzorvas
Loukas Vyntra
Giourkas Seitaridis
Vassilis Torosidis
Alexandros Tziolis
Avraam Papadopoulos
Giorgos Karagounis
Kostas Katsouranis
Giorgos Samaras
Angelos Haristeas
Fanis Gekas
"Pergghh..ambik kau!"
"Haha..told you. These players remind me of the likes of Zagorakis and Nikopolidis. The core players who bought Greece to their first major trophy, Euro 2004"
Greece is the only participating team with World Cup experience to have never scored a World Cup goal.
Woeful marking from a free-kick and centre-half Jung-Soo Lee is all alone at the back post to for a simple tap-in from five yards.
Frankly Greece look disinterested at the first half. They were better in the second half.
11 of South Korea's 23 World Cup goals have come from set pieces. That has been an interesting half of football. Korea took an early lead and never really looked back.
All pictures were taken from ESPN Soccernet. Clap-clap.
p/s: Korea have impressed me, Greece have't.
