Siri Ber-Speaking dengan Genie

Hey! If you guys were born around 90's, I bet some of you may heard about this work of art. Siri Bercakap Dengan Jin by Tamar Jalis. This is the best local book compare to Mastikus, Mengge or watever books you can find in the bookstores on those days. When I was a kid, (tau lah, masa small-small dulu mana ada dollar banyak sangat dalam wallet, ntah-ntah wallet pon takde) I only ready two types of book, text book and comic book. I was forced to read those funny-looking-text-books thoroughly but when it came to comic book, I put my heart on it without banyak songeh.

Just give me any comic book and I shall read it whenever you want, wherever you ask or whatever the genre is. I have this willing-ness to spent my money on it without thinking the consequences (Kena fire dengan mak sebab duit habis kat menatang nih, relek lah Mak. Chill.). DragonBall a.k.a MutiaraNaga was my favourite, the same with Pendekar Laut and Slam Dunk.

My favourite character in Dragon Ball. Jahat nak mampus, cunning but still has the heart.

My point is, though comic books are my favourite, this Siri-Ber-Speaking with Genie was the only book that manage to counter my lust on reading comic. Gila wa cakap lu, buku teks sekolah gua tolak tepi lah kalau buku ni ada depan mata. No graphics embedded yet it managed to trigger my boarder-less imagination. Masa small-small dulu memang gua tak pernah nampak hantu tapi hell yeah, those artificially-created-images are still bergentayangan in my LAD (language acquisition device), the hell is LAD? Lecturer Second Language Acquisition gua cakap LAD itu adalah brain. Haha.

Here's some of the part by Tamar Jalis;

Ilmu Papan Sekeping. (Sekeping what !!??)

If you want more, feel free to visit this site, TamarJalis. The author for this blog is just a fan of Tamar Jalis. He or she has no affiliations whatsoever to the subjects in his fiction or to him. Tamar Jalis probably wrote the one and only fiction which became a bestseller in Bahasa Malaysia in the 80s and 90s titled "Bercakap Dengan Jin". The book is no longer in print and is one of the most sought after paperback (at least to me, him or her). The owner of this blog used to own the complete volume, however, after years of neglect, being misplaced and an item of non-return, he or she only own a few. If you own Tamar's books and would like to contribute to his or her project, please feel free to send him or her an email. Thank you and wasallam. tamarjalis@ gmail.com

p/s: KeCiK is neglecting Inggerish literature for Siri Ber-Speaking Dengan Ginie by Tamar Jalis.

He was not there but he for sure is still a Red.

Alonso was unable to attend Carra's testimonial due to international commitments.

HOWEVER....

He posted a message tribute to his old pal;

"Carra-dona testimonial today. LFC legend!!
Congratulations mate. Sorry not to make it."

Less words, simple and understand-able yet menusuk kalbu. Read between the lines peeps!

Raul "Woi..tengah padang live-telecast pon nak molest aku ke? Double team lak tu"
Carra "Lu buat apa sini Alonso? Raul ni picisan lah...let me handle it mate"
Alonso "Nak buat macam mana bro, Rafa suruh aku mark kaw-kaw mamat nih, tu yang sampai ke sini aku marking"

p/s: This morning I woke up quite early and I saw my mother made kuih semprit while watching US Open, it was between Samantha Stosur and Elena Dementieva. WoW !

Balik Kampung; another picisan story from KeCiK

This pictures says it all, I'll have mid semester breaks for 2 weeks, from 4th September till 19th September. Time to balik kampung for Eid.

As usual, I'll go back to Seremban using train. From Tanjung Malim to Rawang, switch train and straight to Seremban. Why? Don't ask me why. This conversation explains about it. Here's the dilemma that I encounter whenever the mid semester break begins.

A friend of mine will ask me this kind of question;

"Wei...lu balik bila? Naik apa?"
"Gua macam biasalah, balik paling last. Gua balik naik either bas or train kot."
"Ahahahaha..motor lu beli buat apa? N9 ngan Tjg Malim dekat je dowh"
"Dude, several times gua dah story kat lu, parent gua suruh balik naik bas lah eberitime gua kelik kampung"
"Weh, lu dah besar panjang lah...macam budak-budak lah ikut cakap mak bapak, tak independent lah"

This fella will definitely get something from me...

"Beb, listen to this. Since when kita boleh lawan cakap mak bapak?"
"Errr...errr...errr..."
"The hell with your errr..errr...errr..., lu sembang kencang, umur lagi muda dari aku dah pandai sangat nak lawan cakap mak bapak?"
"Errr..relek la bro"
"Relek abah lu. Lu monthly pon parent yang bagi duwit, independent konon. Independent my ass lah"

Here's the fact;

I went to lecture without wearing proper outfit
I have this tendency to come late during lecture
I usually come late especially when it has to do with academic purposes
I hate wearing tie just to attend lecture

but, when it comes to this;

"Son, make sure you balik kampung using either a bus or a train. If I know that you use your ex5, I'll definitely cut your head off, understand?"
"Yes abah, I understand. Your wish is my command"

NVM, forget about it. I'm used to it when I did my diploma at Shah Alam. That conversation was artificially created to stimulate fun. Haha. Gotcha!

Iman gua nyata tercabar tatkala melihat budak ini meratah+mengunyah sekeping roti tanpa mempedulikan gua yang kelaparan.

Teringat gua kat iklan roti Gardenia,

"Gardenia...sungguh enak dimakan begitu saja..." dengan suara serak-serak wet.

Betul sungguh, at that moment, I just can't imagine the delicious-ness of that roti. I arrived at Senawang just around 7.00 PM. The juadah-berbuka was extremely superb. Thanks mom!

p/s: You need to pay rm1.60 for a bus ticket to Senawang. Those days it cost me only a ringgit. Naik Statecoach, teringat gua kat best buddy gua, Ragib. Lu kat mana sekarang?

King Carra: Testimonial at Anfield

Jamie Carragher marked his big day with a goal for each side as his Liverpool team rolled back the years in beating an Everton XI in his testimonial at Anfield.

The 32-year-old defender scored from the spot in the first half for the Reds before converting a penalty own-goal for the club he supported as a boy after the break.

Wish I was there among the crowd, the fans and the kopities.

Konchesky, our new signing.

Jamie Carragher celebrates his glittering Anfield career

Jerzy Dudek, one of the heroes from an unforgettable night in Istanbul. He reminds of a song, The Trophy Boyz - Du The Dudek.

Come on and do the Dudek
Do the Jerzy Dudek
Shake it, shake it, move it
Jump up and wave your gloves!

We're the one and only
Euro Campione
Who get to keep the trophy
The rest aint good enough!

Pak Cik Sammy, Pak Cik Roy and Pak Cik Houllier. Thanks for all your hard work!

I found it awkward to see this fella in Reds, AGAIN.

This kid reminds me of how skillful I am when I was 10. Believe it peeps.

Bloody cute! Rasa macam nak spank-spank.

Danny Murphy, my favourite during those days. He took spot kicks as easy as rubbing his testicles.

Wo0ho0..I like this picture, the angle and the background. Just don't ask me why.

Oh my, Mr. Consistent, Steve Finnan. Err...perut lu macam berat je.

Joe Jambul. I'm not sure where's his jambul. Err..like I care.

Standing ovation peeps. I stand to salute!

Arrgghhh..Luis Garcia my man! Suck your thumb dude! Here's a fact, I have several kits of LFC shirt and the one and only kit that has a name at the back is his name, Luis Garcia number 10. Take that Stevie, haha.

Nathan Eccleston. He celebrated his goal in front of the-crowd-yang-tak-berapa-ramai.

Here's the result. Eh, it reminds me of the day where we thrashed Menyoo with the same scoreline. WeWiitt !!!

King Carra o0o0o0o King Carra o0o0o0o0 King Carra...

Owen "Lu story kat Heskey ni sikit, gua dah cakap suruh jaga perut"
Garica "Orite then, you can kira on me. I'll settle this dude"
Heskey "Hey bro, gua still main international level with this kind-of-perut. I'm still kicking lah. Lu oll apa cer?"

Pictures taken from LFC dot TV. Tengkiu many many.

Halal or Haram?

Yes? Got any problem? I'm still fasting ok.

p/s: Why did I post this video? I just did what some people did when they encounter this semput. I used the inhaler and Alhamdulillah, I'm still fasting. YaY!
