This fella. This season is his THIRD season yet he's still struggling as a midfielder. Sorry Lucas, it's not that I hate you, as a RED, you should show us why the gaffer pick you in starting eleven instead of others. Kamon man, make us proud. As a penengok-football-24/7, I think Lucas is missing something. Tactically naive and physically inferior than others. Kamon sekali lagi dude, prove me wrong.

Dulu & Now

This cheap comparison is made based on a method called effort-less-observation during his life as a kanak-kanak who knows nothing about life. Children my days vs Children nowadays.

Gi sekolah dapat duit poket around 70sen. Paling tinggi rm1 sebab 'kononnya' ada kelas tambahan.

Penggemar jam Boy London dan juga jam digital yang ada kalkulator, janji boleh tekan-tekan. Dulu pernah ada jam tangan KFC yang mempunyai bentuk fizikal kereta kebal yang boleh memancarkan laser. Kaler hijau kalau tak salah.

Jam boleh tukar kaler bila sejuk/panas. Magik.

Petang-petang kami mesti main bola. Kadang-kadang ikut musim, guli-layang2-kondakondi-gasing-galah panjang-polis sentri-baling selipar. Kami bukan delicate boys yang main masak-masak ataupun main kawin-kawin.

Paling terer sambut sebelah tangan, satu team mati. Heh.

Dam ular, dam aji, karom, main ceper. Paling up game tetris yang boleh beli kat pasar malam. Siapa yang cukup kaya time tu ada game MicroGenius. Game kaset yang sangat terkenal dengan game Kontra, Pacman, Motocross (yg bole buat trek sendiri) mahupun RoadFighter (kalau laju leh fight dengan Superman yg lalu kat tepi).

Handle it with care. Sekarang mana nak cari.

Game ni dah 300x aku khatam dengan abg aku

Maghrib aku pernah burn sebab layan game ni. Sekarang dah insaf.

Sanggup bangun seawal jam 8 pagi pada hari Sabtu & Ahad semata-mata ingin melihat kartun Dragon Ball. The likes of Joe Jambul, Sesame Street, Slam Dunk, Captain Planet, Cybercop etc were just too awesome to be missed.

Kami main beskal instead of motorcycle. Rim cat sendiri. Seat ngan handle bar juga kami ejas sendiri. Fork stand pasang depan belakang so that nanti boleh buat trick macam Mat Hoffman dalam X-Games. Dapat buat trick tail-whip dah kira OMG.

Dulu kami ada pen-pal. Pakai surat je. Setem 30sen dah boleh hantar surat ke Sabah, Sarawak, Florida mahupun German. Emel? Apa tu? Disket size 3.14MB tau lah. Baru masuk game Mario dah full.

Petang-petang nak main apa-apa terus je datang rumah member.
"Assalamualaikum...Assalamualaikum....mak cik, Mamat ada kat rumah tak? Nak ajak main bola lah. Budak taman lain ajak lawan bola..."
"Kejap ye nak, nanti mak cik panggilkan..."

5 minutes later...

"Dia cakap pergi dulu, dia baru bangun tidur..."
"Tengkiu mak cik, cakap kat dia saya tunggu kat padang..."

"Cikgu, malu lah duduk sebelah perempuan..geli !"

Masa sekolah paling suka bila cikgu tak datang, then bila cikgu relief masuk, "Ok kids, masing-masing buat kerja sendiri ok"

Super!

Masa sekolah paling tak suka bila Cikgu PJK cakap, "Masa dah takde, so hari ni kita duduk dalam kelas je"

Children nowadays.

Jam tangan lagi besar lagi bagus. Kaler biar kontra dengan kulit. Dari jauh dah boleh nampak nombor.

Petang-petang kami lebih suka hang-out dengan aweks-aweks. Penat lah main bola, balik malas nak mandi. Malu lah nak main layang-layang. Nanti aweks-aweks gelak.

PSP, PlayStation 3, GameBoy. Paling up kami main iPhone tak pun Blackberry yang papa dan mama belikan. Boleh show-off kat kengkawan.

Gila mahal.

Pon gila mahal jugak.

Siapa takde Fesbuk or Mespes malu lah. Yang suka amik gambar sendiri, buat-buat muka kiut. Then upload so that their friends can comment on it.

Masa mengajar dulu budak-budak main air kat belakang, siap ada ABM diorang sendiri, BALDI dengan MOP. Time tu gua memang nak cakap WTF. Tapi gua sabar sebab yang kat budak-budak yang duduk depan dah redi nak belajar something dari gua.

Lu rasa sempoi tak gua kaler muka gua macam ni?

Petang-petang nak hang-out terus je ambik henset Nokia E-brapa ntah. SMS je, call tak cukup credit.

Siri Ber-Speaking dengan Genie

Hey! If you guys were born around 90's, I bet some of you may heard about this work of art. Siri Bercakap Dengan Jin by Tamar Jalis. This is the best local book compare to Mastikus, Mengge or watever books you can find in the bookstores on those days. When I was a kid, (tau lah, masa small-small dulu mana ada dollar banyak sangat dalam wallet, ntah-ntah wallet pon takde) I only ready two types of book, text book and comic book. I was forced to read those funny-looking-text-books thoroughly but when it came to comic book, I put my heart on it without banyak songeh.

Just give me any comic book and I shall read it whenever you want, wherever you ask or whatever the genre is. I have this willing-ness to spent my money on it without thinking the consequences (Kena fire dengan mak sebab duit habis kat menatang nih, relek lah Mak. Chill.). DragonBall a.k.a MutiaraNaga was my favourite, the same with Pendekar Laut and Slam Dunk.

My favourite character in Dragon Ball. Jahat nak mampus, cunning but still has the heart.

My point is, though comic books are my favourite, this Siri-Ber-Speaking with Genie was the only book that manage to counter my lust on reading comic. Gila wa cakap lu, buku teks sekolah gua tolak tepi lah kalau buku ni ada depan mata. No graphics embedded yet it managed to trigger my boarder-less imagination. Masa small-small dulu memang gua tak pernah nampak hantu tapi hell yeah, those artificially-created-images are still bergentayangan in my LAD (language acquisition device), the hell is LAD? Lecturer Second Language Acquisition gua cakap LAD itu adalah brain. Haha.
