El Niño could miss another part of the Reds' season with a familiar problem...
Liverpool forward Fernando Torres could be set for another spell on the sidelines with hamstring trouble, after reporting a problem to the club's medical staff after last night's Champions League win.
El Niño came in for some high praise from his captain Steven Gerrard in the wake of the win, as the fruitful partnership caused problems for the opposition.
However, the combination may have to be put on the back burner once again as Torres struggles with yet another hamstring strain.
Already a victim of the injury twice this season, Torres confirmed to the club that he felt a certain amount of tightness in the area after last night's 1-0 win over Marseille.
Liverpool play West Ham United on Monday night, and the Spaniard may be a doubt for that fixture.
The Liverpool Echo stated that Torres "reported tightness in his hamstring straight after the game and was being assessed at Melwood this morning before a diagnosis can be made by Liverpool's medical staff."
An almost certain absentee for the Premier League fixture is left-back Fabio Aurelio, whose involvement was ended after only 45 minutes of last night's game due to a calf problem.
He confirmed to the Echo: "I have a problem with my calf, I felt it during the first half so it was better that I came off.
"I will now have a scan to see what the gravity of the injury is."
